Hello,

I'm Victor Castell. Over the last 20 years, I've founded two successful companies and worked in various roles across the tech industry. I've always been at the intersection of cutting-edge technologies and exceptional human experiences. I'm a tech leader with a focus on trustless and decentralized technologies.

Over the last 7 years, I've been completely driven by my passion for crypto technology and the philosophical and political implications of decentralization and Zero-Knowledge (ZK) proofs. Working at Polygon Labs has been the best experience of my career so far. I've learned tremendously about the industry and its underlying technology, while working on several projects that have helped me grow both as a developer and as a person.

During the previous 9 years, I had the opportunity to work with one of the most talented teams in Spain during my journey at Jobandtalent. We were driven by passion for what we do and managed to scale the platform from a few hundred users to millions. I learned how to handle a data breach affecting millions of records, how to scale a database with billions of records without service interruption, and how to measure the performance of service-based systems.

Having a strong product mindset, I channeled my frustration with cron job deployment during the transition from servers to containers into founding a commercial Open Source project called Dkron, built using Go and the Raft consensus algorithm. It has been adopted by many companies worldwide, including AMEX, Flickr, and Wetafx, among others.

Previously, I co-founded Season Labs, an IT consultancy where we worked for many major firms. We delivered projects for big names like BMW EspaƱa, Casio, and PepsiCo. I learned hard lessons about running a small business with employees, payrolls, and marketing campaigns with tight deadlines, experiences that helped me understand real business needs.

I'm also passionate about decentralized physical communities, the idea behind Akasha Hub and the potential of such communities to create a more equitable and sustainable future. I've engaged in the governance of this project to help drive it forward. Starting with our local community, we strive to empower individuals and projects with a social innovation mindset and purpose.

Hacking systems of any kind is my passion, and radio offers many fascinating options, from the popular Flipper Zero to LoRa devices, to the more advanced HackRF SDR transceivers. This is why I'm a licensed Ham Radio Operator and have been involved in various projects related to radio communication and security.

I'm also passionate about electronic music and produce my own sci-fi/cyberpunk-inspired tracks, check it out!

I've also instructor level in Filipino martial arts the martial art I love and I've been practicing it for many years.

With this unique blend of skills and interests, I'm positioned to help both companies and individuals across a wide range of fields in ways no one else can, whether in blockchain, applied Zero-Knowledge technology, OpSec, radio communication, or even physical security.
